4 Stretches You Should Do Every Morning

Stretching is essential to any form of activity. Yet, it’s a very tempting step to skip. I know there has been several times that I have totally skipped out on stretching before a run and then regretted it afterward. Be kind to your body! Take the time to stop, breathe and stretch it out before your workout. Today, I will show you a few of my favorite stretches just to feel warmed and ready to go. You can do these simple stretches to start your morning and feel jump started, or right before a good run.

First step? Definitely my teas! I like to sip on my energy tea before a work out and then drink my detox tea afterward.

Follow along with me as I show you how to perform a few “wake me up” stretches.

Butt kick stretch:

This stretch will prepare your quadriceps muscles. Hold for about 10-15 seconds on each leg.

Forward Lunges:

Make sure to alternate legs. Make those lunges deep so you can really get the most out of this pose.


This helps strengthen legs while also opening up your hips.

Lateral Lunges:

Find a comfortable position and hold. You can make these as deep or shallow as you would like.

Don’t forget to bring along your Fit Life Tea water bottle to stay hydrated throughout!
