- 1 cup of old fashioned oats
- 1 banana
- 2 tablespoons of peanut butter or almond butter
- 1 tablespoon of chia steeds
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1.5 tablespoons of honey
- dash of salt
- 3 cups of water or almond milk
How to make it:
Place the oats, sliced banana, peanut butter, cinnamon, salt, and chia seeds into a pot. Add the water or almond milk to the dry mix. Heat the stove to medium-high. Make sure to keep stirring the mix to insure the bananas are melting into the oats. The oatmeal is done when all the liquid has been absorbed leaving the oats nice and thick. Or, if you prefer your oatmeal a bit more runny, take it off the heat sooner. This all can be adjusted to your preference.
Add a few banana slices, chia seeds, some peanut butter and even a drizzle of honey to taste.
