One common mistake most people make when they start a detox is to stop eating normally.
Restraining yourself to a point where you feel hungry most of the time is going to suck the joy out of your detox and affect your mood, health, and well-being.
The key to a successful detox is to eat weight-loss friendly foods that nourish you.
When you start your Teatox detox, it’s important that you eat healthy food throughout the day to support the fat-burning and metabolism-boosting effects of the teas.
To help you have a happy and effective detox, we’ve put together a sample menu and healthy foods that you can eat without guilt:

Eggs & avocado toasts. Three scrambled eggs served over whole-wheat toast, topped with avocado and tomato slices.
You get protein and healthy fats from the eggs, complex carbs from the bread, and healthy fat from the avocado slices.
One cup of Teatox tea.
DIY berry trail mix. Toss together your berries of choice (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries…) with nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews..), seeds (chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds), desiccated coconut, and a few pieces of high-quality dark chocolate.
The berries are healthy low-sugar carbs, the nuts provide fats and protein, and the coconut and chocolate provide healthy fats.
Mix and match buddha bowl. This is a perfect way to use up your veggies. In a bowl, serve quinoa, roasted veggies (broccoli, potatoes, carrots), leafy greens, black beans, guacamole, tomato, and your choice of lean protein.
This is a complete meal that packs an ideal blend of carbs, protein, and carbs that will fill you up.
Try this Sweet Potato Chickpea Buddha Bowl.
Your second cup of Teatox tea.
Veggies with hummus. Dip crunchy veggies of your choice (bell pepper, carrots, celery) in hummus.
This low-carb snack is a great substitute to crunchy and salty snacks like chips. It will keep you alert without spiking your blood sugar.
Fish tacos. Cook your fish of choice (salmon, halibut, cod) with your favorite spices, serve over soft corn tortillas, and top with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cilantro.
Salmon is a great source of protein and omega 3 fats. The veggies add up minerals, vitamins, and prebiotics.

- Drink plenty of water during the day. Aim for 1.5 to 2 L.
- Eat carbs and protein together. Adding a protein-rich food to a healthy carb (like toast with eggs) helps to keep your blood sugar stable.
- Eat saturated fats in moderation (coconut oil, chocolate)
